I was recently invited for Festive afternoon tea at Nobu Hotel in Shoreditch. It was my first time visiting, even though I have seen the restaurant in numerous cities around the world. Shoreditch is a much loved area in London, so it’s no wonder that Nobu is situated in the heart of the hustle and bustle.
Part owned by Famous Actor Robert De Niro, Nobu is known worldwide for it’s mouth watering Sushi menu. I myself haven’t ever had Sushi, (I know, WTF right?) so it’s something I definitely need to start trying. I love fish so I’m not even sure why I haven’t experienced it properly yet. Nobu has always been top of my list for when I do.
However, this day I was visiting for the Festive afternoon Tea, and it definitely didn’t disappoint.
Festive Afternoon Tea.
It came out looking like the most Festive Food i’ve ever seen and the taste was even better than it looked. It consisted of samples of both Savoury and Sweet and these included an infusion of different tastes.
Beef Tenderloin on a multigrain roll with shichimi miso mustard
Tofu bun with truffle tofu cream & pickled tomato
Snow Crab Tempura creamy spicy with Ikura on Shokupan bun
Maraschino cherry & chocolate Christmas tree
Coconut Snowball with white chocolate ganache
Santa Claus whisky macaroon Gingerbread ganache sphere
Rudolph chocolate tart with cremoso Snow flake yuzu tart
Festive afternoon tea is served at Nobu between 12am and 5pm daily.
For £30 pp, you get both Sweet and Savoury options mentioned above plus your choice of Prosecco, Tea or Coffee.
You can guess which one I went for 🙂
Special Thanks to Nobu Hotel Shoreditch for the invite.
